Food can also be dispensed manually by pressing and holding the button located on the base of the device – your pet won't be able to press it, just like the button that opens the food container lid.

The PetKit Yumshare Dual Hopper can be powered from two sources – a power outlet, which is the main power source, or from five AAA batteries, which are used in the event of a power outage. The device can be powered from two sources - a power outlet and four batteries, which last approximately 60 days. For daily use, the feeder uses electrical power via the included power adapter, while the batteries serve as a backup power source that activates during a power outage, ensuring that your pet gets food even without power.

The food container located on the main unit is fitted with a sealing lid that ensures that the food inside remains fresh. Inside the lid is a sachet that absorbs excess moisture. After dispensing a portion of food, the lid closes to prevent insects from entering. Inside the container is a rotor with arms that mix its contents and prevent food from getting stuck. The device is compatible with various types of food: freeze-dried, dry, mixed, and air-dried. Thanks to the partition dividing the container into two parts, you can pour in two different types of food, which will only mix in the bowl, or dispense them at different times via the app.
